Students explored how a simple shape can turn into an object! We took 6 triangles and created fish out of them. Students also were able to identify warm and cool colors through the creation of their triangle fish

Shape Collages inspired by Henri Matisse!1st graders learned about organic and geometric shapes through analyzing artist Henri Matisse's collages. They then used their knowledge on shapes to create their own shape collage!
The book above was read for this lesson. In this story students were able to observe what a snowman would look like if some of the artists from history painted a snowman.
